A Catholic nun was awarded the Nobel peace prize 37 years later, for helping the poor people of Bengal, to whitewash this imperialist genocide.

The world knows about Mother Teresa, though not about the genocide that reduced Bengal from a prosperous, culturally rich region, to a famine-ravaged region.

@workingclasshistory Churchill is still venerated in Britain much the way the US venerates the founding fathers as their national pantheon. No politician would dare speak ill of him.
