Ooh, this is kind of big. Apple announced in June that in 2023 they will enable push notifications for web apps on iOS. What this means is I can finally tell my users on Friend Camp that it makes sense to just pin the site to their home page and use the mobile website. (Android already supports push notifications and it really is indistinguishable from using an app store app, except that all our nice custom features are supported in ways that apps can't do.)

@darius feels like a long time coming ... a return to the original iPhone promise of first-class websites, before the app store kind of ruined everything :)
