Yes! Got it! Comet 12P Pons-Brooks from inner Melbourne (Royal Park) at 6:45pm this evening. This is a tracked 5 second exposure at 200mm (cropped). At top right you can see Jupiter flanked by some moons.
The weird jittery dark trails across the entire image are flying foxes, which take off at sunset and fly over the park on the way to sources of nectar.
