@sou Meta has the project "No Language Left Behind", which translates about 200 languages and is probably the most comprehensive project that exists, while there are thousands of languages.
AfriArXiv wanted to translate scientific articles into African languages, but found that many words do not exist. So they first wrote summaries without too much scientific vocabulary.
It is a hard problem.
