Anybody who thinks that meta(Facebook) has good intentions towards the Fediverse is deluded.

They are only concerned with their brand.

The only ‘smart thing’ Meta has ever done about their acquisitions is to assimilate them apparently without much change. Instagram users STILL don’t know it’s Metazuck. They mostly just want scraping privileges. Which are easily had even without inserting more tracking hooks.
