@feditips Say, is it possible to send a “public DM”, like you can on the Birdsite?
So, a post that everyone can see if they visit your timeline, but that doesn't show up in anyone's feed.

What I'm describing seems to be the default when you *reply to a post*, but I can't find how to send one from scratch, without replying to something.
