I would consider changing “join a community server" to “sign up”. Then on the server page, explain that they have an option of servers and can choose based on community, language, which one is faster in their region, etc. IMO that would be much friendlier for a new user.

In the same vein, I suggest a “just browsing" button which leads to trending posts on at least .social. (Looks like other servers don't let you browse?) People want to preview before creating an account.
