This gets a bit complicated.

You can follow accounts from any Fediverse server type on any apps. They will look like ordinary Mastodon posts in your Home timeline, even though they're from non-Mastodon servers.

However, if you want to use non-Mastodon features, you will need accounts on those servers and an app that supports these non-Mastodon features.

Kbin is very new, but I think there are some Kbin apps on the way.
