Pixelfed is an Instagram-style photo network on the Fediverse. You can follow Pixelfed accounts from Mastodon and vice versa.

For example, @Iancylkowski is a Pixelfed account, but you can view and interact with it entirely in Mastodon too.

To create a Pixelfed account, find a server at:

➡️ pixelfed.org/servers

You can use Pixelfed through the web or apps.

The official apps aren't ready yet, but there are good third party ones such as @vernissage for iPhone/iPad and @PixelDroid for Android

@feditips @Iancylkowski @vernissage @PixelDroid @pixelfed ja tego nie czaje, mam osoby obserwowane na mastodon które mają konta na pixelfed i też tam je obserwuje ale jakoś nie zauważyłem na osi głównej abym widział że coś dodali na pixelfed (no chyba że nie dodali nic aktualnie) bo jeśli dobrze rozumiem to obserwując osobę na mastodon powinienem widzieć to co dodaje na innym fediwersum jeśli jest to jej konto? I tak samo w drugą stronę jak jestem np na pixelfed?

@pixelfed I'm unclear why one wouldn't simply share photos on their Mastodon account? Is there a benefit to doing so that M'don doesn't offer?
