@dansup Love it. Simple, iconic, memorable. 👏

@dansup I love it! But I would suggest changing the proportions of the black and white shapes so the “P” is bigger and more instantly recognizable.

@dansup what I like about the current logo is the inverted/subversive HT to insta’s colour gradient

new logo loses that dialogue and looks like it’s chasing X / Threads (even if that’s not the intent)

monochrome logo could be dope with a gradient + light leak, lens flare, grain… something to anchor it in photography

@dansup Black and white feels too much like a symbolic icon, not enough like a logo for the main icon of an app, IMO

@dansup I prefer the current one.

@dansup Please make a colourful version too, I do not care for this monochrome trend.

@dansup This is an very reduced nice logo. But: It“s very 1-bit-black‘n‘white for a photo/picture-App. There shouldt be at least a color bar as an element of the logo. It helps the brain to recognice.

@dansup Wow. That's really jarring. The existing logo works because of the interplay between the colorful camera ring + how the negative space implies a playful, winking P.

Here all the visual attention goes to how that glaring white circle contrasts against a harsh black background. Demotes what's left of the logo to an anonymous afterthought (resembling a distorted comma?)

If you wanna lose the color for something starker, try aiming elsewhere for inspiration (Ansel Adams, Fan Ho, etc.)

@dansup bottom left odd one out, and doesn't speak to me.

@dansup I definitely prefer the current one, as the colors shout out vibrancy & excitement. This new one here is…flat. It does not peek my curiosity.

However I have a suggestion: allow people to choose their icons. That is what @IceCubesApp does & it's awesome!
