Apparently, if you grow tomatoes, you can put a few tomato plant leaves in your tomato sauce as it simmers (then remove them before you eat). This makes the sauce taste better because it returns some of the natural tomato plant flavours.
I tried it this evening and I am pretty sure it works (beyond the psychology/placebo of it).
