@searls Hmm, I'd be interested. I've been burned on a legacy app that mix-and-matches fixtures and a bespoke factory_bot-equivalent. Cleaning that up would be nice. But that app uses MySQL. What's the tl;dr for why only Postgres is supported?

Maybe something to do with savepoint rollback?

@searls You’ve got my attention. I’ve been falling in hate with factory-bot (the pattern, not the gem itself) since it’s far too easy to create completely unrealistic data and constellations of records, the performance problems, and the fact that some setup just doesn’t fit into that pattern.

I’ve got a newish microservice I can give it a go on.
