@tfardet I do not know why you think I am optimistic. 😉

Activists should at least not use claims that 1.5°C is the threshold to catastrophe anymore. Because it will become clearer and clearer that even with massive action 1.5°C is no longer achievable without solar radiation management. You do not want people to think that climate action is futile because we are all going to die anyway.

At least in Germany I have seen activists move to saying every 0.1°C we avoid is precious. That is good.

I misinterpreted your "unprecedented action"

I just think current narrative favors the "slowly boiling frog" too much in the population and that saying global north missed the 1.5 window and may miss 2 could incite action.
