@feditips I would say that elk.zone is more pleasant than just using my instance's website, though, because if I post something that catches on and has a few dozen favorites and boosts, one item shows up in notifications instead of 20+ separate copies. Hopefully some future Mastodon software update could add that obvious optimization.
