Since 7 April 2006, the .eu domain name has helped EU citizens and businesses mark their online presence.

Our initiative to give its own Internet identity has become a digital staple, becoming one of the 15 largest top-level domains with over 3,7 million registrations.

As our Union is moving towards a more connected future, .eu will be here to give EU citizens a digital home for their projects.

There are many, many, 'stupid' toplevel domain names. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ Many, most, you will never have seen. Or is must be in a phising mail - .EU is not one of those stupid ones.
