@FediFollows I see. And yes, I agree. However afaik you can long tap any link to copy the url (at least on iOS, but quite sure it's the same on Android) and paste that in fediverse (web-)apps. But yeah, you do save one long tap. However, I feel there should be a better way to do this without plugins. Maybe something similar to the mailto: in front of e-mail-adresses that let browsers hand it to appropriate apps? Should this be part of ActivityPub?

Totally agree, ideally a Fedi link should somehow indicate that it's a Fedi link and should open the relevant app.

However, I am not a developer so I don't know how complicated this is to implement on a federated system?

By the way, I'm also trying to get people used to the idea that their identity on the Fedi can be expressed as an address that is easily shared with others.

Was thinking that people could exchange Fedi addresses the way they already exchange emails or phone numbers?
