@Edent The “literacy” you mention is really top-down standards. While I will defend European energy efficiency standards til I am blue in the face, this is not what I am getting at. I am talking about massive public service messaging on par with WW2 era. Education in schools.

I don’t know enough about differential pricing to take a position on that.

But I believe we need people to more engaged, more literate - not the policy-makers’ homoeconomicus that only respond to price
