#OtD 22 May 1623 English military forces met with Powhatan leaders for a peace parley. A rich doctor, John Pott, poisoned their wine, killing 200 Powhatan, then troops opened fire on survivors killing 50 more. Not much difference between poisoning a people's drink and, as Israeli's are doing today, destroying food shipments.
