Today new EU rules on transparency and targeting of political advertising enter into force.

Citizens will be empowered to identify messages that seek to influence their political views and decisions.

The new law makes political advertising more transparent and establishes stronger protections against foreign interference and manipulation.

It will be easier for voters to identify paid content and find out who paid for it and how the ad was targeted.

@EU_Commission well i have seen at least 3 political guerilla campaign ads from dubious profiles with suggestive but unclear messages in the style of conspiracy theories

@EU_Commission question: is this a political ad? I mean you're a institution run by politicians, and this post is probably carefully formulated to pronounce the effectivity of EU ruling? - Isn't this influencing my political opinion? - ๐Ÿ˜œ ๐Ÿ˜‚ just joking - things will get interesting on the internet this year ... I wish us all a good hand in choosing our media sources ...
