Discover interesting posts and accounts by following hashtags. Posts with followed tags will appear in your Home timeline on the web and all apps.

How to follow hashtags:

1. Log in through your server's website
2. Search for hashtag and click on it to see results page
3. Click on the 👤 + icon in the top right corner to follow the tag (click again to unfollow)

The web and most apps don't have a list of followed tags, but this will be in the next update. (iOS already has it, click # in profile)

@feditips I’d love very much of you could group hashtags into a single timeline. Following soccer on here when everyone is using different hashtags has been a challenge

@feditips Is there a way to only show posts of a certain language when following hashtags? I’ve got my instance settings to only show posts in English but it seems this gets bypassed when followed hashtag posts show on my timeline and so I get a lot of posts in German for example.

@feditips I keep on seeing this advice, and only recently realized why I am not seeing this functionality — and it’s because my instance (mastodon.cloud) is running such a hella old version that it doesn’t have it! Sigh. I gotta move.
