The EU and Canada share the same vision of a digital future in line with our democratic values.

Today, we are bringing our cooperation closer.

President von der Leyen and Prime Minister Trudeau launched the EU-Canada Digital Partnership in St John 🇨🇦.

We agreed to collaborate on key issues such as:
🍁 Artificial intelligence
🍁 Secure international connectivity
🍁 Cyber security
🍁 Online platforms

We are ready for the opportunities, challenges of digitalisation.

@EU_Commission fantastic news! I don't see anything about coöperation on federated social networks, though!

@EU_Commission
Which vision of a digital future exactly? And how do these support democratic values?
This kind of vision to further use privacy unfriendly and untrustworthy services from outside the EU - mainly US and Asian services - all over European administrations??
Sorry, I simply can't see any vision of a digital future in line with democratic values in the EU today. Sadly.
