@drmaddkap It’s honestly probably an example of companies pretty-ifying language on a product so it doesn’t seem as “industrial” to consumers. All that setting is probably gonna do is either change how long the heating element stays on (and therefore how hot it gets) or make the computer extend the time. For a lighter load, like few a thin t-shirts, “damp” can probably dry them a-okay. But for, like, bedding, quilts, and heavier stuff, you probably need to cook the shit out of them in order to get them all done. Basically, it’s just giving you another opportunity to dictate the heft of the load you’re putting in, but in pretty, trendy, “easy,” non-industrial language.

3. The 9th Generation Chevrolet Impala was not built in the United States.
4. Lots of foreign brands such as Honda and Volkswagen build more vehicles in the USA than American brands.
So what I’m getting from this person is “Buy American Vanity; Fuck Local Labor.”

@drmaddkap Activation Lock is notoriously hell, and it’s often criticized by right to repair activists. What I’m about to say is not a guarantee because each Apple Store and Customer service rep is different and some are more willing to help than others. Apple is very strict about Activation Lock, and nothing you can do will preserve data on the device. Assuming all goes well, it will be factory reset:
If you are NOT a relative of the deceased you must take the iPad to the nearest Apple Store, and present them with the original receipt, the death certificate of the deceased person whose name must match the receipt, and proof that you legally purchased the iPad from the estate of the deceased.
Even then, there are mixed results. If you were the estate’s mediator or a close relative, you’d have a decent chance, but apparently strangers are about a 50/50 chance. Reddit and the Apple forums have very contradictory solutions and results, so nothing is a guarantee.

@drmaddkap This is literally how I’ve successfully curbed my social anxiety and made it through these last few years of college. That split second of a moment where I can manually remove my anxiety, and in a blind blankness hit send or submit, has made sending emails and submitting assignments SO much easier. Cause, like, once it’s done it’s done. There’s no going back. What can I do? 🤷🏻♂️ Oh well. Guess it’s time to move on and relax now.
