@darius Yupyup, it seems novel to me after spending so much time soaking my head in a bucket of direct ActivityPub protocol 馃槄

@darius Oh that's neat! I keep meaning to do more with jszip, had one Mozilla project where I used it and I was like "wait I can zip right on the client?!"

@darius Yeah, I think that's the old behavior I'm thinking of. It would ask for your preferred home server and (IIRC) save the choice, so future interactions with that server would seem to do close to the right thing

@darius Well, Mastodon checks the messages and stores up the queue. The bot just hits the notification API and processes through the list

Eating a surplus KitKat from the Halloween provisions and I am reminded that they make KitKats with ground-up KitKats

Random lazyweb query: If I wanted to stand up a decent little documentation site for my node.js project on github pages, what's a decent option these days?

I'm vaguely considering Eleventy or Starlight, not having really played with either yet. I could always roll my own, but I've got plenty of other things to do in this project

We're still trying to make Didthis happen on my team at Mozilla!

It's not AI, and it's not (exactly) social media. It's just a baby step into trying to build a cozy web flavored tool for sharing hobby enthusiasms.

I built a mobile app for it at the end of last year, then a Discord bot at the start of this year. We're kind of letting it simmer for now, feature-wise, to see if we can drum up interest and decide to keep building.

@darius @danhon After playing around pretty successfully using sqlite full text search on a personal mastodon bot watching the streaming feed, I kind of wish there was a lower-requirements search option built-in than elastic search

@darius Hey, we had one (1) ray from the sun strike our solar panels today. That's great Portland weather :)
