@drmaddkap law is meaningless to conservatives for whom they believe that law is designed to protect their in-group and not bind, but to bind the out-group and not protect.
Great example would be the "don't say gay" laws propagating across the states. Many of them draw the line at any mention of gender in a relationship. Do you truthfully feel that this legal harassment will be equally geared towards straight teachers as it would for those in a homosexual/lesbian relationship?
Also like, we also have to take into consideration that laws need enforcement. And who are we to place our trust in the police force, nevermind a single cop?
