@65dBnoise @mapperwocky

It's not a big deal, I can rebuild the spreadsheet if that's it's new format.

I use it with other URL's and imports to create a table like this one for flight 36 (last updated 6 days ago) all fields are automatically filled, all I do is screen capture it.

@65dBnoise Do you know if they have an overall JSON with all the data? Or do you capture/collect all of the individual sols as they are issued?

@65dBnoise A little numeric dyslexia (slippage) by me :)

663 was translated to 633... Sigh LOL

@65dBnoise Try a DM to Dr. Fred Calef III (Mapperwocky)
He works on the maps and may be aware of the issue, if not it'll give him a heads up :)

@65dBnoise

That Sol 663 RTE:
Was that not between flight 34 landing, and before flight 35?
:)

@65dBnoise Agreed, a nice scouting mission, and a test of the software. The map is already updated as is the JSON URL. Just waiting for the flight log for the 'Trifecta '

@65dBnoise ICYMI:
A photojournal post contains more info on errant sample tube #184.

As well as a nice animation of the dust removed by its 'Bore Sweep Tool', which is new to me :)

photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/cata

I'm assuming that the photojournal post could be part of a news release or a mission update with more details, as they often go hand-in-hand.

@65dBnoise There's a little bit more info on page 29 of this document (sadly paywalled)

Scientific Exploration of Jezero Crater by the Mars 2020

@65dBnoise Has to be a good candidate for an entry to the 'Odds Rocks of Jezero Crater' Hall of Fame 🤔

@65dBnoise As you say lots of possibilities regarding these spit rocks. I look forward to the science papers that will follow. It'll be interesting to see which way the science team call it, or maybe it will be a 'Split Decision' ;)

@65dBnoise If only I could speak its language...

I'm gonna stick my neck out and go for thermal stress over eons (because of their mass)

@65dBnoise @ryanbanderson @nami_wiki Thinking out loud... Looking at the size of some of the boulders imbedded in the delta deposits there were some pretty cool flooding events that brought material into the crater (debris flows etc), I guess some of these float rocks imaged by the rover could have been transported in from outside the crater, and later liberated from the sedimentary deposits by differential erosion. I know it's best to wait for the official view, but speculation can be fun :)

Your annotated images throws much light on what was previously a very confusing situation (for me) :)

@65dBnoise Low odds, but I'll take them :) Be nice to see if the robotic arm on the SRH copes with a vertical tube :)
