America didn't defeat the Nazis: it hired them as subcontractors.

The Massachusetts legislature decided to pay for its war bonds, largely purchased by merchants from the bourgeoisie class, by taxing the crops grown by farmer who were not only from the working class but also the primary soldiers for the army. It was pure class warfare.

Ford also had Jews working as slaves in his factories in Nazi controlled Europe. He profited from their forced labor, and his company fought tooth and nail to not pay them when they demanded compensation.

The Bomb Didn't Beat Japan -- Stalin Did.

For anyone needing context of another American war crime.

Another reason why the left tends toward atheism. When given the choice between helping the poor and keeping their comfortable lives, the priestly class always sides with the bourgeoisie and capitalists.

It wasn't a belief that Japan would surrender. Russia had moved east and was beginning to invade the Japanese islands in an effort to end the war, and Japan was weakly staffed on that end of the nation. It was a choice of surrendering to either the US or the USSR. They chose the US b/c they believed we'd allow them to retain much of their gov't, which we did. (Incl war criminals).

We dropped those bombs to stop Russia.

Fascists always attack unions as one of the first orders of business.

I don't believe in Hell, but I'll make an exception for Reagan.

How many examples of institutional racism do we need to see before people open their eyes?

Was this done at the behest of FIFA? I've heard that it's deeply corrupt.

America didn't defeat Japan in WWII so much as it co-opted its fascists to do its bidding.

As I understand it, the Nazis may have been defeated (temporarily), but were never eradicated.

What I see happening in Germany now indicates a resurgence.

Thanks for posting. I've read the Combahee River Collective statement, which first outlined intersectional analysis of oppression, several times, but didn't know it was named after this event.

I bet the estate owners were all upset about the looting and property damage, just like they are today.

This is the history that our liberal education often neglects.

We are told a sanitized story that Mandela was an imprisoned activist, which neglected the "terrorist" bombings he directed. While he was imprisoned, the brutal inhumanity of the apartheid regime, like the pic above, which those bombings were trying to oppose, was conveniently kept out of the narrative.

So, the man protested horrific treatment of the less fortunate, and the state's response was to arrest him?

Sounds exactly like what is happening on college campuses today.

She was saying "No taxation without representation." Sounds like the Brits had a hard time learning that lesson.
