@michcia @darius @gogobonobo I agree, but it's also too late to change it. having the version format change to just flip those around would be terrible, you'd need to parse the version to know how to parse the version

@shadowfacts @michcia @gogobonobo I consulted with a lot of semver nerds about this and picked the way I do it since it is the most in the spirit of semver (I don't have strong opinions but semver nerds sure do)
