@feditips I understand your concerns, but Mastodon has the right to run its own public server, and it has the right to offer the use of that server to the users of its primary software product. True, a predominant server on the Fediverse could be in danger of being acquired by a corporation and be subject to the hegemony of the rest of the web, but they can't own the Fediverse, and that is by design. As long as they offer alternative servers (they do), I am cautiously okay with it.
