I'm glad the Twitter migration happened first, I have a bit of work to finish so Pixelfed can keep up with the inevitable Instagram migration 😅

Thankfully IG is also owned by a ego driven billionaire who has a talent for driving away users!

@dansup IG just never really caught on with me, but neither has TikTok. Maybe a generational thing? I don't know.

@dansup yeah I can see that Pixelfed can get pretty expensive to maintain for large scale. But that's the kind of problem we want to have, right? :D

@dansup I created an account a few days ago and I’m loving pixelfed. The best way to share pictures with friends, family and strangers without subjecting them to all the instagram recommendations

@dansup good point. so this happens in FOSS of this nature a couple times. I could be wrong, but honestly one can't help get the impression that there isn't enough stress testing. It's happen to Matrix; It's happen to Mastodon (at least twice). I'm not saying it will be PixelFed, but it would not surprise me to hear about another FOSS project that goes throught the same ordeal, giving a bad or wrong impression. maybe its incredible hard to achieve as to be inevitable?
