Loops will be a "sleeper" fediverse app, with the default appearance of a single flagship instance

You will be able to run your own loops server, and login to the app, but it will be less emphasized

The goal is to make @loops as user friendly, without any fediverse knowledge, as possible

When the users decide they want to migrate, they can take advantage of full account migration between Loops servers!

We're really onto something here...

@dansup @loops fascinating...how will that work? DNS tricks? Will the "flagship" become a point of contention, censorship/inadequate moderation etc?

@dansup @loops this is going to be yet another awesome fediverse option, but I wonder: is there something like a distributed or federated identity option? I mean, you can follow eg a pixelfed account from a mastodon account through activitypub, but can I link my mastodon and pixelfed accounts to a single identity?
