The CDN wasn't working right, but my attempts to fix it were unsuccessful. I made a configuration mistake involving DNS, which unfortunately means that images are broken until DNS updates everywhere. I am very sorry about this

@Gargron I had to look up CDN. It’s Content Distribution Network.

I knew DNS, but for those who do not, it’s Domain Name System.

@Gargron What CDN are your using or plan to use? AWS? Google Cloud? Defeats the purpose of ‘decentralization’, don’t you think? You want to get away from the clutches of Big Tech by running your own instance but you’re ultimately relying on AWS or Google Cloud and are using their services.
Correct me if that’s a wrong way of thinking 🙂

@Gargron All is well that resolves well. Now I am able to see the images. I thought it was more related to the workload on servers with a new wave of users.

@Gargron @Demigiant Seems like a DNS issue. You didn't break the Mastodon 😁

@Gargron DNS changes are annoyingly difficult to get perfectly right first time - every time. You have my sympathy!!

@Gargron DNS stands for Devil'n'Satan. It's evil. Every networking issue ever is caused by DNS.

@Gargron thank you for the update and keeping this instance going.
Despite the huge new accounts it's still working well.
