@chebra I get your point, and I thought a lot about that before naming the listing Element. The problem is that European Alternatives, in particular the page with Slack Alternatives, is not only for tech people like us; it is also, for example, for a person working in a company deciding on a tool for their team. Those people might have a problem with mainly promoting a protocol, since you can't download or directly use a protocol.

@european_alternatives I believe any person working in any company is very well capable of understanding when there are more apps instead of one. It's not a complicated concept. Acting like it's too difficult to select an application for Matrix is quite insulting to the intellect of your readers. But promoting Element is causing real damage, it could result in monopolized environment, which is exactly what we are trying to escape (see what happens with monopolized envs like Slack).
