@dansup @pixelfed if this post is about setting up a default server PLEASE dont go down the rout mastodon has taken. Like seriously as someone who has continually hyped pixelfed for years and have been interacting with you since the beginning, having a default server set in the mobile apps is the wrong way to make onboarding easier. There are so many other ways we can go about this

@liaizon @pixelfed I understand where you're coming from, but the current UX is complicated and not to mention the issues people have with outdated or broken instances.
My goal is to make Pixelfed easier to join (and allow account migrations), and having a default instance seems like the best path forward.
That being said, if you're open to discussing alternatives to this, we should chat. I appreciate your support and would love for you to help steward a path forward!
