I don't know what kind of language Google have been using, but YouTube is just one big server, it doesn't federate with anyone :/

Still, I found the coincidence interesting. This is a very recent change they're doing there. Actually I think they're still rolling it out. Funny that they chose the exact same format used in the fediverse.
