@feditips Now if only we could get WordPress to somehow embrace this, ideally via Jetpack or something so that users could easily implement it.

Funny you should mention that...

You can actually turn your WordPress blog into a Fediverse server extremely easily thanks to the ActivityPub plugin by @pfefferle:

wordpress.org/plugins/activity

This allows people on Mastodon etc to follow your WordPress blog directly.

No linked accounts or crossposting or anything like that, the blog itself would be its own server and Fedi account.
