Wouldn't you say that the fossil fuel dependent societies has caused those disasters? And that the global economy is general investing in many business models, for example, the airline industry, that will make those disasters more frequent & common.

The question must be considered, is capitalism, where the rich generally dictate the social narratives, the economic system that is the fundamental cause of the ecological disaster.

Are, for example, the symptoms of the exploitation of people and planet, by definition, capitalism. And why haven't capitalists regulated themselves?

Why would they? (When it's all about the money for a capitalist)
