@65dBnoise for reasons beyond me, I can play around in VR for hours and not have problems until the framerate is a slideshow. I also got instrument certified for flying aircraft, so I trained not to trust a lot of my motion and balance cues without verification. Seasickness will get me every time though.

That verifies the essence of what the article says, doesn't it? That the VR experience is not the real thing.

But I saw the article in connection with super hyped claims about #AI; that we're close to some kind of human-like #AGI with brains trained on textual data and images sourced from the internet, as if the body+brain system were merely a statistical language tool. And that just sounds ridiculous.
