No it was a small European server, not one of the big ones. Sorry for any confusion.

With pixelfed.social I only had the issue that I could not follow my account there from this mastodon account here. It always said request sent, but my pixelfed account was not locked. Seems to be a common issue as far as I googled. So I created an account on pixelfed.de and everything works now.
