@darius @mconnor @leigh I think that's a good point as well; having people with reactji turned on/off within a server definitely feels like something that's likely to trend towards two different subcultures within the server, for sure.

@andrew @darius @leigh it's not obvious to me that these are mutually exclusive models.

My belief is that Reactji offer a way for observers to participate and add support/feedback to speakers/points without inserting themselves into a conversation. For some they're a distraction, and for others they offer a valuable feedback mechanism. For me it replaces the sort of nonverbal feedback you get in person or on video, especially with a larger group.
