@darius such stagnant IT depts should be abolished imo. they do more harm than good in my experience

@exchgr@mastodon.world @darius@friend.camp That would wipe out about 80% of the IT departments I deal with as a consultant!

The problem is hand-reared pets with little to no automation.

It's often more political than technological. Sysadmins who don't want to relinquish their spof power nor get with the times.
