@nev @mhoye yeah it's a great idea in spirit but in practice it simply wouldn't work the way you'd expect it to.

I did absolutely love closed systems where it was possible. For example you could export a SimCity 2000 city and play in it in SimCopter and Streets of Sim City.

And it would be really cool to have an option to say, render a city you built in a game into a 2D map you could use for a TTRPG campaign or something

@darius @mhoye People have done really cool stuff like render their Dwarf Fortress…fortress in Minecraft (programmatically, not like building it by hand), but it's *really fucking difficult*. Yeah, it'd have to be inside a closed system.

It's the same problem as those web3 game things that promised NFTs would make it possible to use assets from one game in another. It's just…not.

I'd really like if this game would have some 3d export. Licensing is an issue. Then, it is still some/lot of work to make it appear somwhere else.
