@blacklight I would think that Github is what most people know, so its patterns seem easiest to people because they are what they know already. @tyil @humanetech

This is imo the main reason*
People used to Windows, find Linux weird/archaic/etc for that same reason.

sr.ht deliberately does not intend to become a GH/GL clone.

I like IRC and Mailing Lists, but most people either don't know it or don't like it ('old').

*) another is that sr.ht not quite finished. I haven't found an easy way to see/use the MLs associated with a project, which I think would really help.
It's different and I still have to learn a lot
