@real_jamescain I was in Sony camp at the time, A7r3 and A6500. That way I thought I had all the focal lengths covered - 23 becomes 35, 35 becomes 50, 50 becomes 75.

It was bloomin' heavy.

But mostly it was the realisation that, if you have to move to make the image look good with a prime, then by definition you *haven't* captured the scene composition that caught your eye in the first place.

Don't get me wrong - I still have a couple of primes but they're not frequent favourites.
