Another thing about the Ruby documentation is that there is no official, clear, complete guide to the actual language syntax, or if there is, I never found it in two years of looking (I'd be thrilled to be wrong -- embarrassed, but thrilled).

The official API docs have kind of a patchwork description of some, maybe even most of the syntax, but it seems to me like it's missing a bunch of stuff.

@noelrap I think this is a great idea, but are there *any* examples of a language that gets it right? *Maybe* Haskell, but I might be confusing their docs with Real World Haskell. Lisps don't count.
