There are online tools for finding out Mastodon addresses of people you follow on Twitter.

I'm not on Twitter so cannot test. However, if you want to try:

🐦 Debirdify
pruvisto.org/debirdify

🔍 Fedifinder
fedifinder.glitch.me

➡️ Movetodon
movetodon.org

Could you let the rest of us know your experiences in the replies?

If you want other people to find you, put your full Mastodon address in your Twitter profile. More info here: fedi.tips/how-to-use-mastodon-

@feditips For your Info: "If you want other people to find you, put your full Mastodon address in your Twitter profile" is not possible anymore. Twitter does not allow that anymore.

@feditips Debirdify seemed to work for me. Haven’t tried the others yet.

@feditips debirdify works well and user interface is cleaner than the other two. It revealed that very few Twitter mutuals (that I don't already follow) have Mastodon accounts.

@feditips

Alas, none of them will work for me as I deactivated my bird account, and all my followers got zeroed out. I've just been using the Search tool here to find people. Works fine, so far.

Thank you for posting those tools! They'll hopefully work for lots of other people.

@feditips it seems that everyone that I followed on Twitter (and there were very few) have all had their accounts there removed and their profiles could not be scanned. I find myself pretty happy with just abandoning other social media and going federated.

@feditips I love Debirdify. I use it (on multiple accounts) to weekly import the follow, mute and block lists from various accounts.

@feditips I've used Movetodon several times since I started on Mastodon in November. The tool works well. Just used it again after migrating to a new server
