@Gargron I can NOT believe I'm saying this, but I'm thinking of trying to get a Mastadon #server in my local public #Library. How would I start to learn about hosting?

Milestones must be celebrated. 1000+ new instances and 1MM+ MAU is not a bad day. There will obviously be the dip after. What can the community do to keep the momentum going?

Personally, I'd like to see more creators coming here and even hosting their own mastodon instances. It's not that different than having your own "discord" server except you also need to likely create your own monetization mechanics

@Gargron prepare to scale up and out by at least an order of magnitude, maybe 2. I am sure you have... We are converts (55k followers on Twitter). Donie O‘Sullivan joined up yesterday (about 300k) and Stephen Fry joined and closed his Twitter account (12.5 million) ..,

@Gargron if you're seeing 1124 additional servers, I can only imagine the number that have been installed/reinstalled/tested. I know I must've run the installer 30-40 times over the last couple of weeks
