@Gargron what will happen when admins of some instance will get bored or their financial situation change? Is there any mechanism to still use your account when your instance goes down?

How about providing a mechanism to have some advertising on mastodon to help offset the cost of hosting?

@Gargron I'm still trying to figure it out, and it's a bit confusing to me jumping between the servers I've joined. But I still really like the fluid motion everything seems to have and I don't feel like it's the same stuff being posted and reposted over and over! Also, kinda nice having mostly everyday kinda folks sharing what's on their mind instead of reposting some stuff famous people/celebs tossed out into the wild wild web. But it'd still be cool to see some of my favorite musicians and such join the gang!
