@Gargron I'm excited to be here, thank you for this service! When I click "Home" it just says "Your Home feed is being prepared." Is this just overwhelmed servers or is something else going on? I've only followed a couple people so far.

@Gargron How awesome! I mostly joined to learn how this worked and keep my skills sharp, but I'm enjoying my time on here.

@Gargron I think that would be very impressive under normal circumstances. But with dozens of millions of Twitter users that all have a need a home these numbers feel low to me.

Of course Mastodon is not for every Twitter user and it really shouldn't appeal to them.

But anyone that wants to have a sincere conversations about a topic that matters to them should be lured to join.

Mastodon needs more critical mass quickly - otherwise many users might wonder off again.
