@darius @c0debabe @thegibson I have only just now realized that the instructions are to put the remote profile's URL into the *Mastodon search box* of the instance you use, and not your browser's URL bar.

On hackers.town, this also works correctly for jessmahler and dmoonfire but not for suricrasia.

When it works correctly, it brings up a "People" category of search results, with the remote profile as the only one listed; clicking that link takes me to the /web/@handle URL discussed previously.

When it doesn't work, there is no error message, just zero search results reported.
