Funny you should mention that...

You can actually turn your WordPress blog into a Fediverse server extremely easily thanks to the ActivityPub plugin by @pfefferle:

wordpress.org/plugins/activity

This allows people on Mastodon etc to follow your WordPress blog directly.

No linked accounts or crossposting or anything like that, the blog itself would be its own server and Fedi account.

@feditips @pfefferle Thanks, this is very helpful. Unfortunately, the folks that will get stuck are people like me who are on wordpress.com either with a free, or anything but the most expensive paid plans as plugin installation is restricted. Ideally, they'd just build this in as a feature of Jetpack Social so that everyone can benefit. At least it's doable with self-hosted blogs though, that's pretty awesome.
